You are invited to worship the Lord with us at the Church in the Wildwood in North Bethesda. For 150 years God’s people have been gathering here to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. We are a diverse congregation gathered from all over the world with one purpose: to honor and glorify our Lord.
We are conservative in our theology and liberal in our love. Everyone is welcome! There are many opportunities to grow in Christ, through Bible Study, fellowship, ministry, and missions opportunities. As a member of the Southern Baptist Convention we support missions all over the world. We also do missions at home as we minister to the needs of Bethesda, Montgomery County, and the greater Washington D.C. area.
At Wildwood we say, “It’s great to be part of a church where everybody knows your name.” Join us each Lord’s Day as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord in a traditional style of worship. We look forward to meeting you and you will be glad you came!
Interested in joining Wildwood Baptist Church?
We are glad that you are here! We trust you will find the Church in the Wildwood one of the friendliest places in town. We frequently have guests in our worship services and we find they often have questions about church membership. Here is how you can become a member:
1) By professing faith in Jesus Christ and following Him in believers baptism
2) By transferring your membership from another Baptist church
3) By statement of faith in Christ that you have been baptized by immersion after salvation and are joining from another denomination
4) By statement from another denomination that does not practice baptism by immersion. This is a statement of faith in Christ and a willingness to have baptism by immersion.
How can I register?
Complete the Introduction to Church Membership Class taught by the Pastor; then you will be introduced to the church at the end of a worship service. The class is scheduled, upon request, during the Sunday School hour (9:30am-10:30am). Sign up by filling out a guest card in the pew rack and dropping it in the offering plate, talking with the Pastor directly, or by sending us an email.
